Young Professionals Programme Opens New Mentoring Cohort

By MEPAAKS Editorial22 May 2026

The 2026 cohort will pair early-career professionals with experienced mentors across marine operations, engineering, HSE, and commercial disciplines.

Applications are opening for a new MEPAAKS mentoring cohort focused on early-career professionals in marine and energy-related disciplines. The programme is designed to help participants make more deliberate career decisions, strengthen professional habits, and understand how technical work connects to safety, commercial, and stakeholder outcomes.

Mentors will be drawn from experienced practitioners across operations, engineering, project management, environmental services, HSE, procurement, finance, and policy. Each pairing will agree on a practical development objective and a simple schedule for structured conversations.

The programme is not a job-placement scheme. Its value comes from informed guidance, accountability, exposure to professional expectations, and access to a wider community of practice.

Participants will also attend group sessions on career planning, CV quality, interview preparation, ethical practice, technical communication, and continuing professional development.

Key highlights:

- Structured mentor and mentee goal setting.

- Cross-disciplinary career insight.

- Group learning on employability and professional practice.

- A closing reflection and development plan.
