MEPAAKS has introduced a coastal safety and environmental awareness series designed to translate professional knowledge into practical community action. The programme will combine short public talks, shoreline activities, emergency-awareness demonstrations, and conversations about responsible waste handling.
Marine and energy activity depends on healthy coastal ecosystems and informed communities. The series will therefore address everyday risks such as unsafe boating practices, poor disposal of plastics and oily waste, inadequate use of personal flotation devices, and delayed reporting of environmental incidents.
Volunteer professionals will work with local stakeholders to make each session accessible and relevant. The association will also document recurring concerns so they can inform future advocacy, technical workshops, and partnerships.
Members with experience in HSE, emergency response, environmental science, marine operations, public communication, or community relations will be invited to support the programme.
